Kauai’s Longest Zipline: The Koloa Zipline Experience

Mark Nenninger and Trailer Tom ride Kauai’s Longest Zipline (the Koloa Zipline).

Koloa Zipline is on the Southside of Kauai. They have an 8 line course that will have you flying through the jungle, soaring above the forest and gliding across the water on over a mile and a half of exciting ziplines and beautiful scenery. Even Ocean views are on this tour, and the vehicles the zipline camp had were awesome to ride in as well.

They have 3 of the 5 longest lines on Kaua and were the closest zipline tour to where we were staying in Poipu.

We got to fly hands free (superman style), and upside down (spiderman style). Koloa Zipline is afun and exciting time indeed.

Koloa Zipline is the only zipline tour in Kauai to offer “Ground school” where you learn and experience how to zip in a controlled environment before you arrive at the course itself. Learning how to zip first allows you to be in more control and to better enjoy your tour.

It was easy to take pictures and video while we rode the ziplines as you can see in this video.

Each of the ziplines are named specifically after your surroundings and average over 1,000′ long, Your tour begins at “Malaluca” named for the pear tree forest you zip through, Soar above the forest on “koa” where zip above the trees on our 1,700′ line then take a break after crossing the valley on our sixth line “Robusta”.

We enjoyed cold drinks and a light snack while taking in the Mountain, Ocean and Lake views with a hungry rooster and beautiful pheasant named “Chuck”.

The tour concludes with a glide above the Waita reservoir on 2,500′ zipline across the water.

This tour was about 3.5-4 hours, but the time flew by fast. I would definitely go back tomorrow if I had the chance.
